Winter Season Details

Tournament Option March 24-26, 2017 (10U / 12U).

Our Winter Season took place January thru March 2017 for girls ages 9-12 (birth years 2007-2004).  Like Fall season, our practices occurred at Mountain View Ice Arena 6-7am. 

Winter season involved 8 on-ice sessions: 1/8, 1/15, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26, and 3/5. (No skate on 1/22. Coaches out of town.)  Ice time was 6-7am at Mountain View Ice Arena.  ​
Helpful Info:
  • We're planning to participate in the Richmond Ice Classic tournament in Richmond, BC. We had a blast last year and no doubt we will again this yr! Please save the dates (March 24-26) and get your passports. A few more notes:
    • As with most hockey programs, tourney costs aren't included in our regular season fees. Costs may include items like hotel, transportation, & team registration fee.
    • Tournaments have specific age categories. Players who fall outside the age range for our team may not be able to attend. That said, we'll do our best to get permission from the tourney organizers to include the majority of players.
  • All players must have a passport and also be registered with USA Hockey (our national governing body) to participate in our program. When you sign up for our season, you’ll be required to enter your player’s USA Hockey registration number for the 2016/17 season. Click here to register with USA Hockey.  
  • Gear -- Since we're skating so darn early, if you have a gear issue and need us to bring a set of elbow pads, shin guards, or whatnot, please email us well in advance. We're happy to help you but need to know prior to Sunday at 5:30am. :) 
  • Our Winter season won't include a "Learn to Skate" program, as it has in the past. Instead, we encourage you to sign up for our Spring season. 
  • The RCHC Fund contributes to our scholarship program and buys sticks, gear, and other items (which we provide for free). This program lowers one of the biggest barriers to hockey -- a fairly expensive sport -- and helps us grow girls hockey in the Pacific Northwest. Our scholarships for 10U and 12U have been awarded. Scholarships are still available for U8. Click here for details. 
  • As you know, rink schedules sometimes change. They are often out of our control but, nonetheless, we’ll do our best to minimize disruption to our program. Thanks for understanding.
