Recreational Camp has SOLD OUT!

Camp will be Aug 6-10 @ WSC 

Rec camp is going to be awesome. We're going to pick up the pace this year & work on all elements of the game: skating, puck handling, shooting, and passing ... all while having a lot of fun.  There will be dry-land and 90 minutes of ice.  

Olympian Lyndsey Fry will be joining us for both Rec camp this year (& Advanced camp too). In addition, Josh Sweeney & his teammate will be on the ice Friday morning with us.

If you've been playing hockey for a while and aren't eligible for Advanced Camp, don't worry!  Rec camp is going to be both fun and challenging.

Eligibility for Rec Camp
Girls in birth years 2011 to 2004 who have (1) played hockey previously;  or (2) completed our Spring Learn to Play Hockey program.  (Sorry, no Learn to Skate program. All players must know how to skate.)  

Details about Rec Camp
  • Aug 6-10, 2018 @ Winterhawks Skate Center, Beaverton, OR.
  • Start time & drop off locations: 
    • Players age 8 and younger: 8:30am daily. Drop off at WSC.
    • Players age 9 and older: 7:30am daily. Drop off player (with helmet, stick, gloves) at Train Station (8785 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy). Bring rest of her gear to WSC & give to RCHC coaches.  
    • Please note: the rink recently changed our ice times which required us to adjust camp times. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
  • Pick up time for all players: 12:15pm.
  • Ice Time: 90 min daily for all Rec players. 
  • Gear: Happy to provide it for free. If you're considering buying a few pieces, get a helmet and skates first. (And it helps to hit the ice -- before camp -- to test 'em out.)
  • Valuables: Players are responsible for their cell phones, wallets and other valuables during camp.
  • Prices:
    • 8U - $300 (no Train Station fee)
    • 9 & Up - $375 (includes Train Station fee).

Recreational Camp Schedule
7:30am - Drop for players 10+ at Train Station (8785 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy.) Players will need helmet, stick, gloves. Drop off rest of her hockey bag at WSC w RCHC coaches.
7:45 – 8:45am - Train Station / dry land.
8:45 – 9:30am - Walk to rink with coaches/dress out.

8:30 – Drop off for players age 9 & younger at WSC. 
8:30-9 – Team stretching/light dry-land at WSC.
 
9:30 – 11:00am - All players ice time.
11:00 – 11:30am - Dress out.
11:30am – 12:00 – Snack for all players. Chalk Talk for ages 10+. Team activities for 9 and younger.
12:15 – End of Camp. Pick up location for all players is WSC.

Scholarships
Scholarships are no longer available at this time. We are currently reviewing all applications and will soon allocate our full scholarship budget to deserving applicants. (If you submitted an application, you'll hear from us soon.)
