Please complete each step below to coach with us this season and allow us to remain 100% compliant with USA Hockey. Coaches cannot be on the ice with our amazing players until you've done all six of these steps. Volunteers and off-ice coaches should do the first three steps.

STEPS TO BECOMING A COACH:
Please complete each step below to coach with us this season and allow us to remain 100% compliant with USA Hockey. Coaches cannot be on the ice with our amazing players until you've done all six of these steps. Volunteers and off-ice coaches should do the first three steps.
- Obtain a USA Hockey number for the 2024-2025 season – Register at membership.usahockey.com. This is required before you can step on the ice as a RCHC coach.
- Background Check – Initiate a background check at the Oregon State Hockey Association website. This is required before you can step on the ice as a RCHC coach.
- SafeSport – This is now an annual requirement. To access the training and learn more at USAHockey.com/safesporttraining. This is required before you can step on the ice as a RCHC coach. Make sure to add USA Hockey as an organization to get the required modules if you have SafeSport for other sports.
- Complete the RCHC Coach & Volunteer registration online. Wait until you have confirmation from Carolyn to get on the ice.
- CEP Level Certs – Auto-renewals will not be offered again this year, so current coaches are required to attend a CEP session and level up. (For more information, go to USAHockey.com/rules and click on the "Requirements" tab.) USA Hockey offers virtual classes at all CEP Levels. This is a terrific time to get those certifications without having to travel! Go to USAHockey.com/coachingclinics for options and to register for your training. These classes fill up, so get your spot early. Completion is required by calendar year end.
- All Age Modules – Due to requirements from USA Hockey, every RCHC coach has to complete all the age- specific modules. That's because we often have various age groups on the ice at one time. If you are unsure what you have left to complete, please email [email protected]. Go to USAHockey.com/agespecificmodules to do your age models. Completion is required by Dec 31.

WHERE TO FIND YOUR USA HOCKEY COACHING SUMMARY:
- Login at courses.usahockey.com/public to access your current coaching information. Your login information should be the same you use to sign-in to USA Hockey to register for classes.
- Click on "My Profile" in the upper left corner (see image below)
- Then click on "Coaching Information" in the upper left corner (see image below)
